This City is a Battlefield (Perang Kota) by director Mouly Surya, an Epicmedia co-production through the Film Development Council of the Philippines and FilmPhilippines Asean Co-Production Fund, will be the closing film of the 54th edition International Film Festival Rotterdam - IFFR.

Set against the backdrop of Indonesia's fight for independence in 1946, This City is a Battlefield follows ISA, a war hero and schoolteacher, who is asked to operate a mission to assassinate an important Dutch official, in an attempt for the resistance to defend Indonesia’s independence. By his side is the passionate and young HAZIL, trying to win FATIMAH, Isa's wife, whom Isa hasn't been able to be intimate with anymore. This City is a Battlefield showcases Surya’s artistic evolution as she transitions into ambitious historical storytelling and is adapted from Mochtar Lubis' novel, A Road with No End.
